Mr. Wilson was dumped at a shelter in NC and it became immediately clear that he needed medical attention. You couldn't even touch his head from the horrible pain he was experiencing in his ears. Our vet estimates that he is around 10 years old. He has severe hematomas which resulted in 'cauliflower ears' which blocked air flow into the ear canals. In addition to this his nares were so small that it was nearly impossible for him to breath. We immediately got him into surgery to open up his nose and address all the issues with his ears (infection, polyps, mites, etc). During the course of trying to improve his breathing we did x-rays which showed a suspicious heart. So, we did an echocardiogram and found that his heart was not diseased and looked perfectly normal for a kitty his age. Unfortunately, we did discover that he has high blood pressure which is easily managed with a small pill which he currently eats in his food. In spite of all this this, he has remained the MOST amazing boy ever! His foster mom adores him! He is sweet, friendly and loving. He eats GREAT and is just a wonderful boy. He has gotten along well with other kitties he has met. He is very laid back. So, if you would like to give the fabulous Mr. Wilson the loving forever home he so deserves, contact us at FLUFFinfo@gmail.com. |
